Whoop is great for recovery scores; weak for strength tracking. Ascend reads Whoop's recovery + strain data through Apple Health on iOS so the AI coach can deload you when you're cooked.

Setup

  1. In the Whoop app, enable Apple Health sync (Profile → Settings → Apple Health)
  2. Open Ascend → Settings → Integrations → Apple Health → toggle HRV + RHR on
  3. Ascend's AI coach now reads Whoop data when scheduling deloads

FAQ

Is Ascend a replacement for Whoop?

For strength + nutrition tracking, yes — and we don't charge a subscription for hardware. For 24/7 strain scoring, Whoop is still ahead. Use both.

Does this work on Android?

Health Connect doesn't carry Whoop's recovery score yet. iOS-only until direct API ships.

When is direct integration live?

Whoop API approval pending. Estimated Q3 2026.
