How do I rate RPE accurately?
Ask yourself: how many more reps could I have grinded at the same form? Subtract that from 10. Most beginners overestimate by ~1 RPE, calibrate by AMRAP-ing once a month.
Why not just use percentages?
RPE adapts to the day. Bad sleep, work stress, low food, RPE accounts for them. Percentages don't.
Does Ascend autopilot use RPE?
Yes. The autopilot reads your last 8-week RPE log to pick the next-set weight.
